What an exotic location! This wildly beautiful land of contrasts has me hooked, and I can’t stop dreaming about going back. I loved the rugged canyons of the desert, the fabulous juice bars everywhere, and the ambiance of magical Muscat. I love the whitewashed walls of the forts, the smells of the souq, the warm waters of the gulf the elegance dress and manners of the people, and the fascinating history of the nation. I’d go back in a heartbeat.
Our first and only visit to date was far too short. We just barely scratched the surface of what this country has to offer. We spent only a few days in the country in advance of our Oman by UTMB run in late 2018. With unfinished business on that course, we will return.
Even if I have to play the long game again about getting to that coffee shop on the beach…
