Want to know more about seeing Bengal tigers in the Sundarbans?
Our trip in 2015 was fully independent: we knew we wanted to go to the Sundarbans and (maybe) see tigers, so we researched how to do that. Some of the details may differ, but for what it’s worth, here’s what we did.
We stayed 3 nights at Sundarban Tiger Camp in Dayapur, West Bengal. This is an glamping-type experience, and the accommodation offers guided boat tours and nature walks. Things to note: User experience may vary: remember that you’re a guest in another culture and you’ll be fine. Personally, we had a great time! The camp is just over 100 kilometers from Kolkata, so prepare your rental or hire a driver in advance!
